Cultural Xpression March 2018 - Interview with Dr Natasha Gittens

In this months edition of Cultural Xpression we get a chance to catch up to an amazing lady that has been doing so much behind the scenes on St Maarten. Dr. Gittens is the author of the best seller, e Pie Philosophy, and the President & CEO of Training Professionals International Firm, (TPI) and President of the parent company Customer Service Mobile Academy, (CSMA). She is also the President and Founder of the Youth Empowered for Success Foundation, (YES) and the Founder of the 1st Annual St. Maarten Customer Service Week established in September of 2017.

We also got to play our part and give back to the community during the week of SXM DOET. We captured some great moments and also of volunteers working hard and assisting in every way they can to get St Maarten back on track.

I was also blessed with the opportunity to take part in the BBB Think Thank event that also took place this month.. I met so many great people and also great team members which resulted us becoming 3rd place (2nd runner up) at the Do Thank event. You can check out more PHOTOS in this article here!

I also attended the St Maarten’s 2018 Cultural Awards and Forum on how to establish the future of sustainability within the creative arts sector on St Maarten… I also got a chance to capture some great photos from this event where the talented young lady Ms Xochiquetzal Gonzales-Toro won the 2018 Cultural Awards for her art piece.. In all, March 2018 was a great month despite we are still trying to get the community garden back up on its feet. We received a great feedback report from VSA, BAK and UNDP on last years Skill Enhancement Program, and we soon hope to get the facility back up and running so we maybe able to continue our outreach effort throughout the beautiful island of St Maarten !!! All that’s needed is a lil bit more support!!!

Community members that want to show their support can and get something in return such as advertising for their business, services, or products or become a member and recived discounted organic vegetables from the St Maarten Agricultural Research and Development center .
