CX June – Dec 2022 | Just could not get the words out

Well pasted 2 years have been the hardest for me when it came to my consistency in writing.. Just could not get the words out the way they usually flowed.

At times I thought, hey just throw in the towel on this publication, but for some reason something just keeps pulling me right back to it. ‘’Information is key, it’s what empowers lives’’ is all that keep ringing in my head. Information surly changed my life, but at times can also be a demotivating medium if the content is always from a negative perspective, such as todays mainstream news outlets, rarely is the information shining a positive light on events or activities around the world, in comparison to the negative.

This is truly why I started this publication in the first place, to spread positive information and highlight the positive things and activities that’s happening around us. Just this perspective alone, can do wonders for a persons mindset and others surrounding them.

So for 2023, I plan to spread the positive vibes with Cultural Xpression Newsmagazine and see how we may be able to continue to inspire one person at a time. That’s all that really matters, 1 person at a time.

So, on a positive note we want to shine a lil light on a man I believe is changing the world one tree at a time, Roland Van Reenen. Roland the Forest Farmer has been one of my biggest inspirations in 2022. His teachings and practices on Syntropic Agroforestry is phenomenal and one necessary towards saving the planet and increasing quality food production. Roland’s biggest inspiration has been Bob Marley and Ernst Gotsch the father of Syntropic agroforest- ry. In this edition of CX June – Dec 2022 you can learn a bit more about Roland and what drives him to leave no bare soil behind.

We also touched on few topics we started to highlight earlier in 2022 such as Small Caribbean islands with big COVID-19 impacts and Resilient Caribbean Communities.

You can also check out a few photos of our ECO Learning program supported by CDFHA back in May 2022 and read up on the great health benefits of Cumin.

Last year we asked ‘’Way the Cakes Gone ?’’ This year we connected with our inspirational elder in the community and she baked up a few cakes and tarts for community members, but we could not help to notice, way the lights gone this year? Perhaps the light just lives within us, what you think ?

So, if your looking to just lay back and take in some positive info to inspire your day or check out what may be the next best business trend or eco tourism destination, one things for sure, is you can’t loose just spending a few minutes just browsing through the pages. After all, who knows, the info might just change your life..

Wishing everyone a positive and healthy 2023. All I could tell ya is ‘’ Keep the place green and go for your dreams ’’ ! One Love
