In this months edition of Cultural Xpression we touch base with yet another promising local St Maarten Artist. Mr Carty, better known as $impletune has been blessing the microphone from the age of 15 with his motivational and poetic flow. A supporter and a man that has love for the local music, arts and sports scene, he also embraces his passion being a producer and engineer at Faceoff Studios and has had the opportunity to work with many potential and growing artist.
I also got a chance to interact with students from my old primary school in St Peters. Students of the Hillside Christian school visited the St Maarten Agricultural Research and Development Center on Feb 26, 2019 with their teachers to learn a bit more on climate change and what the center may offer to the surrounding community. We had a great time with the kids. You can check out these photos here.
The ECO membership program was a great success and has accumulated 30 member thus far. We also got a chance to complete the restroom at the facility thanks to surrounding community members that contributed to the membership registration.
More and more people are getting involved in agriculture towards enhancing their day to day lives. For this I continue to be grateful just to spread the awareness and love of the culture toward influencing tomorrows positive climate change.
In March 2019 edition of Cultural Xpression I will be sharing a bit more of the upcoming projects this month such as the ”seedling project” for Helping Hands Foundation and primary schools that will be embarking on the journey of Agriculture along with Spaceless Gardens and ECO St Maarten Agricultural Research and Development Center.
