Back in Nov 2018, Wyatte of Spaceless Gardens and President of ECO St Maarten Agricultural Research and Development Foundation sparked a community initiative in support of the completion of the restroom facility at ECO SXM. The membership program ran until the 28, Feb 2019 and now membership cards are being processed. The initiative gained 30 new members for the center and still looks forward to signing up new members that are interested throughout the year.
The funds raised by these members allowed the center to complete the restroom facility and now Wyatte, community members and volunteers can focus on cleaning up the facility and getting the landscape and cultivation up to par.
‘’We have done allot of research over the past years and have encountered the do’s and don’ts, what works and what doesn’t and can now focus on providing sustainable agricultural solutions and educational programs to those in need.’’ Wyatte expressed.
ECO St Maarten will soon be open to the general public, visitors and schools. More information to be released soon.
ECO St Maarten Agricultural Research and Development Centre is a Development project founded by Mr Denicio Wyatte of Spaceless Gardens and Powered by ECO SXM Agricultural Research and Development Foundation. The project has been supported over the years by organizations such as Prins Bernhard Cultuur Fonds, UNDP, UNESCO, BAK, VSA, Spaceless Gardens, Island Real Estate, Accessible Ventures, Wattzz Publishing, Abu G Shwarma, SXM Optical, STM Shipping, St Maarten Chamber of Commerce, The Tweede Kamer and 30 Community Members.
