Cultural Xpression Nov 2018 | Exclusive Interview Runkie Hytz

In this month’s Edition of Cultural Xpression, I got a chance to touch base with one of Jamaica’s Rising ArtistRunkie Hytz. As new upcoming Dancehall Artist residing in Florida, Runkie Hytz plans to leave an impression in the cultural music arena. With his new release ”Wine and Brace” trending in the clubs and promoted by Top Dancehall D’s like Neako Fire, its only a matter of time before we hear Runkie Hytz amoungst some of Jamaica’s greatest. The track Wine and Brace can be streamed at Caribbean World Charts or bought on any of the digital streaming platforms such as Itunes etc .

I also took some time to write an Open Letter thanking Prime Minister Leona Marlin for her contribution towards establishing communication with the Minister of VROMI, Minister Giterson toward granting a temporary exemption \ leniency towards allowing me to complete the rest room facility at the the Agricultural Research and Development Center. The meeting was held on Nov 2, 2018 at 2:45pm at the Prime Ministers office in Philipsbug St Maarten.

I thanked the Prime Minister toward her vigilance in getting progress towards the center when it seemed to have fallen on many deaf ears. Although I didn’t agree with The Minister of VROMI on having to put on a galvanized roof on the hurricane resistant constructed structure, I took the opportunity at least towards starting to get my life.

I submitted my letter requesting to get back the temp exemption documented toward avoiding any future harassment in cases on changes in government as I have been experiencing over the past 4 years.

Another issue I touched based on was the Romain Lettuce Recall and why again it is of urgency and should be a priority to get St Maarten’s Agricultural sector up and running. We can’t wait until we import the food that will slowly kill our people when we have more then enough opportunity to take control of our food supply and demand chain over the next few years to come.

Currently recovering from a fracture toe injury and need to be off me feet for the next 2 weeks, have a few extra things to share during the course of the month from the Month of Nov that I didn’t get a chance to get to as yet. I also got a chance to raise some funds toward the completion of the restroom facility by offering community members a chance to contribute toward our new membership program for the upcoming new year  (2019). We are soon there. I am proud to see how many community members reached out towards playing their part in making Agriculture a reality for our beautiful Island, Thank You. I am grateful just to be a part of the change.

I got a lil surprised planned for those new members as I get back on my feet and get the center completed, I  look forward to contacting them soon with my additional plans. Hope you enjoy Nov 2018 Edition of CX and look forward to staying culturally in tuned with Dec 2018 edition ! One Love
