Today was a great day we harvested 32 kilos of water Melon, 1 Kilo of Okra and 1 Kilo of Bak Choy, 1 kilo Soursap and 3 kilos of Squash.. It was a blessing once again to see the faces of our surrounding community members as you pass with your wheel barrow shouting ” Fresh Organic Veggie Grown In St Maarten”.
The people of the community embraced our efforts with smiles of joy as the purchased their fresh produce. The power of organic food has a great impact as even the Chinese who run the supper markets buy the fresh greens to consume for themselves, staying away from the much imported food they sell, they usually tend to buy organic greens or grow what they can on their own..
Over the course of time we may be able to change to outlook on the importance of agriculture for St Maarten with hope that in the end we are the ones the Chinese come to when they need great healthy organic food..
